Lock-Hawk & Makeup

Lock-Hawk

So I decided to experiment with creating a Lock-Hawk now that my hair is long enough to pull it up and it came out beautifully. I sectioned off my hair with hair bands and for the front I just wrapped a few locks around the hair band to conceal it. I also used a few hair pins to pin down locks in areas where I had gaps showing in between the sectioned parts. This technique is very quick and easy and took me no more than 5-7 min. to do.

As most of my friends know, I don't wear makeup and never showed an interest before. However, a friend of mine who is a make-up artist used Iman Cosmetics to create this look and he did an amazing job. I am pleased with the results.

Hello Dewdrop,

I have been surfing your blog consistently for about two months now. I am just realizing I can leave comments LOL! Anyway, your hair is gorgeous!!!! You give me so much insight to what I will be able to do with my locks once they are istalled (may 4&5). I have been so hesitant lately, due to time and $$( i have 12 inches of virgin hair myself to start out). Your blog has helped me tremendously. I also have atopical dermitis. Simply put, I just connected with your blog on so many levels, I just wanted to say thank you. Congrats on the marathon and improving your time. Hopefully, I will become fluent enough to start my own blog once my locks are installed.

I absolutely love this style. I actually have been trying to figure out how I could do this myself as well before I saw your blog. I was thinking about cornrows on the side going toward the middle, but I like how you did yours it looks easier and faster.
